National Financial Scheme crisis in the higher education, with rocketing tuition fees in the Universities.

TUT students.
The situation is appalling in the higher education, and it is the working class and poor youth of South Africa who are affected most. The recent financial crisis in the national funding scheme for students who are needy, have by length manifested and verified a need for a publicly funded higher education— a socialist education.

Number of NSFAS applicants has skyrocketed thus far, but this is upon a ground of dramatic upswing in NSFAS applicants in the past few years. The number of applicants has beyond doubts surpassed the budget of the scheme twice. Reports shows that NSFAS budget was R2.82 billion to 135 202 students applicants in 2009; R3.34 billion to 148 387 students in 2010; R4.83 billion to 216 874 students in 2011, and R5.87 billion to 194 504 students in 2012.

Solidarity With Nigerian Lesbians, Gays, Bi-Sexual and Transsexuals (LGBT).

Sourced: ENCA, Cape Town Stadium during Bafana Bafana's
 clash with Nigeria.

Couples will end up in jail for a mere reason of loving one another. This is a demonstration of “A planet controlled by imperial powers, its resources plundered and its people forced to live with inexorable wars, poverty, diseases and unjust laws.” We are saddened and troubled by the recent legislature that was passed by the general assembly and the Nigerian government to suppress preferences of people on their sexual orientation and relations. This unjust law will, as Hassam Soweto highlights; call an increased violence and anarchy on Gays and Lesbian, Bi-sex and Trans-sex , as the situation was already volatile towards these people.

The Anaconda Schemes, A condition of the “choosen ones”: EPWP and CWP

Sourced: Zoutnet
The ANC government has shown time and again, its class character and has demonstrated that this time with the introduction of the EPWP and CWP in the public sector. The schemes which are just lucrative means by which the few connected can advance their  narrowed interests and for the ANC to strengthen its elite by enriching it. A condition of which monkey do you know at the zoo is created. They are a great blow to the marginalized sect of the society– the poor majority.

NACTU President and Secretary must step down!

A call to all Nactu affiliates and members to recall Narius Moloto (The General Secretary) and Joseph Maqhekeni (The President)

For the past few months/weeks, Media, Analysts and Comrades have said a lot about Cosatu and we've been reading many articles on it but what we should be asking ourselves is: Why is Nactu absent from many analyses?

This Federation is led by Millionaires and blood suckers who enjoy the subscriptions of workers yet welcoming every decision by The Capitalist State. Narius Moloto (NACTU Boss) must be exposed! These are people who should be under-going lifestyle audits. They own mansions and drive German (Luxury) cars yet you’ll hardly hear their view on e-Toll or Retrenchments.

SOLIDARITY WITH NIGERIAN STUDENTS, AND WORKERS

"The problem with the Federal Government is not about ASUU demands, but to destroy the educational system, because they know that it is a vehicle for social mobility. After all, they are sending their children to study abroad. The present salary of a professor in Nigerian universities is N3,859,078.60 per annum while a local government chairman earns N13.9 million, a permanent secretary, an executive secretary, chief executives of parastatals and Vice-chancellors earn about N22 million per year. A Federal High Court Judge earns N26, 875,840, a Federal House member earns N35,932,346,30 and a Senator earns N36,677,840.00 annually. “We want Nigerians to judge for themselves why the Federal Government cannot meet our demand." ASUU President, Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie, 2009.
