Qualitative and Quantitative Growth of SYM! Forward We Go. Backward Never

The tremendous work done by comrades in UNISA is commendable. We applauded the comrades in Tshwane University of Technology last year when they managed to raise the Socilaist Youth Movement banner and put the ideas of socialism in the public domain and the same should be done for SYM Unisa Branch.

SYM continues to gain strength and we are witnessing quantitative as well as qualitative growth in relation to membership. After the launch of the structure last year, I can attest that we have members in about 8 provinces and working on building structures in all the provinces. We don't have champagnes and whiskies but revolutionary ideas and program for young people who join us.

We have to use every opportunity and platform to raise the class consciousness of our people. The world is watching us and many are inspired by the work we are doing in South Africa.
We continue to draw inspiration from young socialists in other parts of the world. Young people of the world shall unite for socialism.

Socialist Youth Movement supports the mineworkers strike and their demand for R12 500.00. We support the community protests in demand of service delivery and jobs. We support the call for free education and proper student services. We call for the resignation of Zuma and his cabinet as they are responsible for the deaths of our brothers and sisters slaughtered by Police Force.

On the question of Mass Workers Party, we declare our full support for the call but further warn that slogans are not enough: Masses are fighting without revolutionary leadership to guide them. We can't wait any further and will therefore support Workers and Socialist Party as we regard it as the only Revolutionary Party that has been able to lift the banner of International Socialism high.

Viva SYM Viva! Viva WASP Viva!
Forward with the struggle for International Socialism!
A socialist world is possible!
