Sourced from Jacaranda FM: Workers of Tshwane protest
The Socialist Youth Movement will like to make this clarion call to all the youth, workers and communities to unite against the on-going war between the rich and the poor with the rich being assisted by the state to exploit the poor.

At a time when Margaret Thatcher, the former British Minister popularly known for the onslaught against the working class during her rein, has passed away, messages of support for her family have been sent by South African political heads as they claim that she was a leader of her own caliber. We are not shocked by their statements but disgusted by the Thatcherism practiced in South Africa to declare workers anti-developmental elements who must always be at the receiving end of all the crisis created by capitalism.

About 1500 municipal workers were dismissed from work in City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality in the period between January and May 2012 and the municipality has since then justified their action by claiming that 'they terminated contracts with Labor Brokers and they therefore are not responsible for the loss of jobs as the services were provided by the Third-Party (Labor Broker)'.

The Municipality has since then been avoiding all call from workers demanding an immediate reinstatement. These workers have suffered a lot under the labor brokers as they were paid a meagre, unliveable fraction of the cost of labour that they provided to the Municipality and the rest of the money was pocketed by the Comprador Black Bourgeoisie, mostly former Cosatu and SACP leaders, who own the Labor Brokers. The workers have been paid as little as R400.00 a month yet having to travel and eat during lunch time but the ANC-led government had recorded this as part of Jobs created by the government under the new dispensation. This is SUPER EXPLOITATION! The Municipality, together with SACP and Cosatu in Tshwane, have celebrated the lies of Mayor Seputla Ramokgopa when he said 'finally Labor Brokers are a thing of the past in City of Tshwane' yet his correct and realistic statement is 'finally workers have been dismissed as they pay for the sins of Labor Brokers'. Labor Brokers must be banned BUT workers should be absorbed by the institutions they work for!

Workers have organized a demonstration to the Office of the Mayor as this marks not only the 20th Anniversary of Chris Hani's brutal death but also a 1 Anniversary since their dismissal, with SACP only concerned about resignation of the Mayor and not the Banning of Labor Brokers which they only speak about in commemorations but cannot take action against the government of their own. The organized mass demonstration took place at Pretoria CBD, Princess Park (Corner Church and Princess Park street) on the15 April 2013. They had listed on their memorandum: Immediate reinstatement of all dismissed Municipal workers; Equal pay for equal work; Share work amongst all who can work without loss of pay; End the modern day slavery and Neo-Thatcherism (Labor Broking)

Songs sang by Vanguard of Imperialism in the ranks of the working class have only been postponing war against Monopoly Capital. Labor Broking, like E-tolls, have been defended by the partners of the government. The working class wants to fight but the treacherous leadership of SACP and COSATU has been applying brakes and therefore demoralizing workers. A research conducted by Jean Pierre Misago of the University of Witwatersrand's Forced Migration Studies Programme found that Labor Brokers may have been directly responsible for inciting the November 2009 anti-immigrant attacks at De Doorns in the Western Cape. Labor Brokers from both South Africa and Zimbabwe were supplying Famers with cheap labor. South African workers realizing that they are now in competition with Zimbabwean workers who are more cheaper, forced the local ANC and mobilized the community to attack and chase Zimbabweans. Labor Broking is attacking both local and foreign workers and this provides us with a solid and strong objective necessity for workers of the world to unite against capitalism.

There's a need for all workers in factories, mines, farms, every workplace and working class area to unite and wage a war against Labor Broking which will mark a war against imperialism or we'll watch Labor Broking running at the expense of the poor just like E-tolls.
